turning thirty has seen a lot of seismic shifts for me; shifts in the way i approach the world, in the way i approach myself. it’s feeling a lot like whatever that sciencey term is for when the solid land mass split into different continents. it’s giving end of the natural land bridges. it’s giving prehistoric, jurrasic, ice age and knowing naming the past something glorious is perhaps one of the only ways to get over it; or, to get over knowing it’s gone when we never got to see it. never got to enjoy it. it’s giving increasing evidence of how hot the earth’s core is on the surface. it’s giving animals that used to live here have long since died and plants that once populated the surface becoming extinct.
it’s giving oceans.
